Africa is a very important market for Sinotruk. The presence in Africa started in the 1970s when 731 units of the product served the TAZARA railways. Since then, through many efforts of its workforce, especially the last 10 years has seen the transformation of this brand in Africa. It is now a well-known brand and is famous for reliable quality and after sales support that meets market needs and demand.

At present, Sinotruk has more than 300 000 heavy trucks that are operating in 54 African countries. It is the largest Chinese brand in the African heavy-duty truck market, with an export share of more than 60 % in 2022. Sinotruk has maintained the number one position for sales among Chinese brands into Africa for more than 18 consecutive years. More importantly, it is also the number one heavy duty truck brand among all competitors in Africa, including American and European brands with the most sales and service outlets and the most sales on an annual basis.

In Zambia, CFAO Mobility Zambia signed an agreement with Sinotruk International in 2023 to become one of the dealers to market, sell and support Sinotruk products. CFAO is hard at work to establish a sales and support network, that will distinguish itself from other competitors in the market.
